Two children in Greater Noida have been confirmed to be infected with swine flu. This takes the total number of patients in the district to three so far. Noida News
Aged five and six years, the children stay in Beta 1 in Greater Noida. The children had presented with symptoms of viral fever and were admitted to Max Hospital, Greater Noida on September 24.
According to an officer in health department, additional tests were conducted when their condition worsened. The tests revealed that they were H1N1 positive.
“The children were discharged from the hospital on September 29 and the hospital informed the health department about the cases," an officer said.
Fortis hospital had reported the first case of swine flu where an Allahabad-based 59-year-old man had died. On September 9, the patient was admitted to the hospital and he died within two days, said health officials.
