A day after cracking down on the Supertech group, arrest warrants have been issued against Mukesh Khurana owner of Rudra Buildwell, Mayank Chawla owner of Jatsya Builder, and Rajesh Yadav owner of Antriksh Builder. At the same time, orders have been issued to seal the offices of Jaypee Associates, Logix, and Mahagun. This action has caused a stir in the builders’ lobby. Four Tehsil teams are conducting raids at various places to arrest them.
The district administration on Monday detained RK Arora, chairman of the Supertech Group, one of the biggest defaulters of UP RERA. A signal went out among the builders that when strong action can be taken against big builders like Supertech, smaller ones will not be spared either. The Chairman of Supertech Group, RK Arora was interrogated in custody by the district administration for not paying the dues. He was later released after his company signed an agreement with the flat buyers for Rs 5 crore, gave a draft of Rs 2 crore, and promised to clear the entire dues of Rs 26 crore within this month.
Alok Gupta, the SDM of Dadri said, "1325 RCs were issued against a total of 73 builders in the tehsil area. About Rs 487 crores are to be recovered from them. For this, 25 Tehsil teams are working continuously. Action will be taken."
Ankit Kumar, the SDM of Sadar tehsil in Noida said, "Ansal API Group is the biggest defaulter in the tehsil. RCs(Registration Certificates) worth Rs 33 crore have been issued against this. This RC was recently sent back to Sadar Tehsil for recovery from NCLT(National Company Law Tribunal). For this, the administration is building pressure on Ansal API. The administration's stance is tough against the other two big defaulters, Sikka Group and Green Way Builder. Rs 160 crore is to be recovered from 380 RCs from a total of 28 builders in Sadar Tehsil. Instructions have been issued for this."
