Noida’s dog park is to be on lease for 20 years

The Noida Authority has announced that the country's largest dog park, located in Sector-137, will be leased out to a low-cost company for 20 years. This will mark the first time that a park will be operated by a company, which will be responsible for the maintenance of the park and providing entertainment facilities for dogs at a fee. An Expression of Interest (EOI) will be issued soon to select the agency for the lease.

According to Vandana Tripathi, the Director of Horticulture in Noida Authority, the dog park has been completed on a 3.85-acre area, with a total construction cost of Rs. 3.86 crores. The operating company will bear its expenditure from the park's earnings, and the authority will receive a portion of the revenue generated.

The dog park will have separate areas for large and small dogs, a dog drinking water fountain, a dog shelter, park benches, a water pound, rubber tiles for the dog place, a dog waste disposal station, and dog therapy facilities. However, commercial activities or advertisements will not be allowed within the park.

The EOI process will ensure that a suitable agency is selected to operate the park efficiently, providing a safe and enjoyable environment for dogs.
