340 new coronavirus cases in Delhi; positivity rate dips to 0.48 pc

 


Delhi on Thursday reported 340 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,31,589. The number of new cases reported came out of 71,325 tests conducted on the previous day.

Of which, 39,226 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 32,099 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 0.48 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate declined to 6.53 per cent.

4 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,722. 11 deaths were recorded on Wednesday, 16 on Tuesday, 13 on Monday, 12 on Sunday and 12 on Saturday.

390 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,17,930 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 97.83 per cent.

The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Thursday. Active cases declined by 54 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 2,937 active cases.

Out of the total 11,976 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 10,743 are vacant. A total of 1,311 patients are in home isolation.
