Residents of Sector 137 on Sunday evening dedicated 'Veer Stambh' to the martyrs who had sacrificed their lives to keep their nation and citizens safe and secure.
Tejpal Nagar, sitting MLA of Dadri, the assembly constituency under which the sector falls, inaugurated it during a function organized for the same.
Retired army officers General G D Bakshi, General R K Batra, Brigadier Ashok Hak, and residents along with their kids and family members were present during the inaugural function.
Talking to City Spidey, a resident of the sector Abhist Gupta said, "It was erected in the memory of brave and courageous soldiers of our country for which the residents of Sector 137 had contributed generously. As the work related to the pillar got completed last month, people dedicated it today in the honour of selfless jawans of India."
