In a bid to let others enrich their knowledge and experience, residents of Jalvayu Vihar, a residential cooperative society in Sector 21 and 25, have come up with a unique idea of disseminating good stories with people of all age groups.
They have started a book club at the community centre of society. The idea is that if one has gone through an interesting storybook, he/she can share it with others, explaining various aspects of it besides giving out details of the respective author.
Anil Sharma, a resident of the society, is the man behind this concept.
“Well, it just began with the expectation that it would grow gradually. The reader will come to the community centre once a week to share the story and details of the book of his/her own interest. There is no age bar so the club is open for all,” added Sharma.
Talking to City Spidey about this club, retired Navy officer and a resident of the society Narendra Mahajan expressed, “It is really a good idea. With this, residents get a platform to exchange information and gain knowledge. I hope more people will join it.”
