The technical glitch in the Delhi Metro’s Blue Line, which occurred on Wednesday, still continues as irregular frequencies are making it difficult for the commuters to reach their destination on time.
Keeping in view the situation and in order to provide temporary relief, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation decided to run trains on automatic mode till the services get normal.
However, trains are still running late as the gap in the frequency has increased. According to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, the current frequency in Dwarka-Noida route is about 5 minutes. DMRC officials said that owing to the signaling issue, which was intermittently surfacing on Yamuna Bank to Vaishali section of Blue Line affecting punctuality of services on the entire Blue Line, it has now introduced seamless train movement on the entire stretch to provide best possible frequency till the issue get sorted out by their technical team. They added the services between Dwarka and Noida are seamless, with a frequency of approximately 4 minutes 30 seconds on automatic mode through central control. Besides, train services between Yamuna Bank and Vaishali section are being provided in a dependent loop with a frequency of around 5 minutes 30 seconds through local control (Station level).
“The signalling team is carrying out the rectification work on the system and as soon as it is rectified, train services on entire blue line will be reintroduced as per normal time table,” the DMRC added.
