Glitch in Blue Line Metro leave Dwarka commuters hassled

Commuters taking Blue Line Metro, which connects Dwarka to Noida and Vaishali, are a hassled lot today, with all trains running late and arriving less frequently.

According to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) officials, the train services have been impacted due to signalling issue on Karol Bagh-Dwarka section (UP Line). But now, the problem seems to be affecting other lines as well.

A resident of Sector 12 in Dwarka, Suman Das, informed City Spidey, “It’s taking more than 10 minutes to leave a station. I boarded Metro for Vaishali at 1.20 pm, and I am still at Tilak Nagar at 3.30 pm. By this time, I should have been at Pragati Maidan at least.”

The trains are crowded, forcing a lot of commuters to look for alternative lines.

Sangeeta Mishra, a resident of Sector 5 in Dwarka, left the Metro at Rajouri Garden and took the Pink Line. She shared a photograph of the crowded Metro with City Spidey.
