Hundreds of homebuyers, who were agitated with the false promises of the builder of Assotech Windsor Court, carried out a protest march on Sunday evening.
As per the residents, the builder was due to provide basic amenities at the society a year back but it has not been provided so far. Noida News
A resident, Giri Raj, said, “The builder is yet to provide playground for kids, sewer-line connection, fire-fighting equipments and fully-functional lifts in the society.”
“The builder had asked the residents to start paying the maintenance charge so that they will be able to pay to the discom. But, when basic amenities are yet to be provided by the builder, there is no logic in paying the maintenance charge. Out of the five towers in the society, three are still under construction,” he added.
Despite the builder is yet to pay around 70 crore as land due, he has already got OC and CC from the Noida Authority. He is also yet to take power connection from the electricity department.
As per the information from the residents, there are 709 apartments in the societies. Around 10 families have already moved in the society.
The residents said that they have already paid up to 95 per cent of the flat’s cost. They informed that they had booked flats in 2011 and builder had promised possession of flats by April 2013. But, the society is yet not fully complete.
“There’s no swimming pool, no club — the builder hasn’t even constructed the entry and exit gates properly,” complained another resident.
City Spidey tried to contact the builder and its staff, but no one was available to comment.
