After Meghna Srivastava of Noida becoming all-India topper in CBSE class 12 exams, another student from Delhi-NCR, Prakhar Mittal becomes all-India topper in CBSE class 10 exams on Tuesday.
Prakhar Mittal is from Delhi Public School (DPS), Gurgaon. He secured 499 marks out of 500 marks which are 99.8 per cent of the total marks.
Prakhar Mittal shared the top position with three other students from various parts of India.
Four students - Prakhar Mittal from DPS Gurgaon, Rimzhim Agarwal from R P Public School Bijnor, Nandini Garg from Scottish International School in Shamli and Sreelakshmi G from Bhavan's Vidyalaya Cochin - have secured 499/500.
Another student of DPS Sector-45 in Gurgaon, Writika Sarkar, secured 498 marks out of 500 marks. She is among the 2nd toppers in CBSE class 10 exams.
The overall pass percentage has gone down to 86.70 per cent as against 90.95 per cent of last year. Girls did better than boys with pass percentage of 88.67 as opposed to 85.32.
It is for the first time that CBSE has partnered with Google to host class 10 and 12 exam results on the search engine. The students can directly check their results on Google.
