n a bid to decrease the number of stray dogs in the city, Delhi based Dr Chawla’s Pet Hospital has undertaken the job of sterilisation. Yesterday, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the hospital management and the Noida Authority.
Per the agreement, sterilisation workers shall be given all facilities to start work in a hospital cum animal shelter that is located at Sector 94. This place is taken care of by the Noida Authority.
Earlier sterilisation of stray dogs was undertaken by the SPCA. Following an order issued by the UP Government in April, the contract between Noida Authority and SPCA came to an end in June this year. Apartment management software
According to officials of the Noida Authority, Rs 770 shall be spent by them on every dog’s sterilisation process.
RS Yadav, Project Engineer of Noida Authority informed City Spidey that the pet hospital run by Dr Sunil Chawla has already sterilised stray dogs in Rohini and Jaipur.
“The hospital has been hired for six months and the team shall commence work from the first week of October. The verification of the number of stray dogs that will come under their sterilisation drive shall be done by the RWAs and veterinary departments. The hospital will be paid every month on the basis of this verification,” Yadav added.
