Dwarka: Classical evening organised by Sur Sangam Kala to celebrate anniversary

 A classical evening was organised by Sur Kala Sangam music academy, Dwarka on Sunday to celebrate its 14th anniversary. The event was organised at Dakshin Delhi Kalibari. Eminent artists and budding classical performers showcased their art through their spell-bound performances on the occasion. Tabla maestro Ashish Sengupta was the chief guest on the occasion who praised the performance of the artists.

Classical vocal singing, classical instrumental, tabla, classical dances, etc were the attractions in the program. Founder of Sur Sangam Kala Academy, Mahavir Enclave, Ranjib Biswas who is disciple of eminent Tabla maestro Pt Shankar Ghosh says, “We are a non-profit institute just to nourish the budding talents from the community. We are playing our role and happy to serve the classical music.” Ratna Lahiri, a known Sitarist from Sector 6 Dwarka who was a part of the program says, “ There is a need to preserve our tradition of singing and such programs are very helpful in that. I am happy that young talents performed with excellence.”
