Noida News: The Police Commissionerate of Gautam Budh Nagar has imposed Section 144 in the Noida and Greater Noida regions in anticipation of the upcoming festivities. The police department had already imposed Section 144 until March 31, but it has now been extended until April 30, keeping in mind the various festivals that will be celebrated during this period.
According to the city police, Mahavir Jayanti will be celebrated on April 4, Maharishi Kashyap and Maharaj Nishad Jayanti on April 5, Hanuman Jayanti on April 6, Good Friday on April 7, Ambedkar Jayanthi on April 14, Chandrasekhar Jayanti on April 17, and EID and Parshuram Jayanti on April 22. To maintain law and order during this period, the section prohibits the assembly of four or more people in an area.
Dinesh Kumar Singh, the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Law and Order, has warned that action will be taken against anyone violating the rules under Section 188. Barricades will be installed on the streets to monitor the situation.

Drone shooting is strictly forbidden within a specified radius of kilometres above administration residences, and in other places, it will only be allowed with the permission of the police chief or the additional police chief. The posting of religious posters at any religious place is also prohibited. No restriction applies to emergency services, on-duty policemen, or paramilitary forces.
No individual shall take out any kind of procession without permission, nor shall he demonstrate or aid anyone else to do so. No one can assemble a crowd of five or more people or assist anyone to do so within a distance of 200 yards from the examination centre. Liquor consumption in any public place is also prohibited.
The volume of loudspeakers in conspicuous places, public places, processions, and other events shall be controlled as per the order issued by the Supreme Court. Sound devices should not be used between 10 a.m. and 6 a.m. It is also important to follow COVID-19 protocols and rules of social distancing during this time.
