Finally, the residents of Sector 108 Noida have something to cheer for. The long wait of 14 years is about to get over as the locality will get its modern community centre very soon.
A resident of Sector 108 said, “Finally, our dream of having a community hall has come true. 14 years of hard work has finally paid off, as we are getting a modern community hall.”
MLA Pankaj Singh laid the foundation stone for the community centre. During the foundation-laying ceremony, FONRWA president Yogendra Singh was also present. The construction will cost only Rs 4.49 crore, and the construction work will begin soon.
Vinod Sharma, president of RWA Sector 108, informs, “Since the sector came into existence, we have been fighting for it. We requested the Noida authority several times, but nothing worked out. After becoming the RWA president in 2020, with the help of the president of FONRWA, Yogendra Sharma, we met the CEO of Noida Authority and requested him to look into the matter. The CEO assured him that she would resolve the issue as soon as possible. Finally, after 14 years, our dream has been fulfilled.”
He further said this situation is for us, like when Lord Ram returned home after 14 years of exile. Sharma added that the construction work would start on Wednesday.
