Allocation of Rs 6920 crore for holistic development of Noida will play key role

 


A budget of Rs 6920 crore has been allocated for the financial year 2023-24 under the presidency  of Industrial Development Commissioner and Chairman of Noida Authority, Manoj Kumar Singh for the overall development of Noida. The declaration was made at  the 209th board meeting which was held on last Sunday. The Chairman recommended that transforming the industrial areas of Noida, Greater Noida, and Yamuna Expressway into commercial hubs by implementing successful practices from other countries would be given first priority. It was declared that Rs 141 crore would be spent on behalf of the Noida Authority for cleanliness, road repair, urban maintenance work, and development in the villages. In the board meeting, a plan was discussed to discard the waste from Noida-Greater Noida with a scientific technique in Astauli village to tackle the garbage issue by establishing two different plants.

In this meeting, the authority confirmed a total expenditure target of 6503 crores in the financial year 2023-2024. Out of this, 4579.52 crore should be spent on development. Noida Authority would prepare to increase its land bank, under which Rs 1906 crore should be spent for development works. A provision of Rs 500 crore was made for the Noida area and Rs 1000 crore for New Noida (DNGIR).

Principal Secretary Infrastructure and Industrial Development Narendra Bhushan, CEO of Noida Greater Noida Authority Ritual Maheshwari, ACEO Yamuna Development Authority Monika Rani, and other officers were present at the board meeting.
