Noida Authority goes strict on RWAs, may nullify some

 


The Noida authority is reportedly planning to put an end to 30 Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) in the 30 sectors of Noida, causing panic among the RWA members.

The authority has sent a two-page letter to the Deputy Registrar of Meerut regarding the matter, after which the existence of these RWAs will come to an end. This news has spread like wildfire among the RWAs, causing a state of panic. Noida News

The authority has stated that there are 90 residential sectors in the city, with 120 RWAs present. This means that there are 30 extra RWAs compared to the number of sectors. The authority has expressed the need to put an end to the existence of these 30 RWAs as they often create face-to-face situations that can lead to problems.

According to the senior officer of the authority, OSD Indu Prakash Singh, they have sent a two-page letter to the Deputy Registrar of Meerut requesting action to be taken to end the existence of extra RWAs. They have also mentioned that there should be only one RWA in one sector as per the laws of the Noida authority. However, currently, there are two RWAs in many sectors, leading to problems and sometimes creating a tense atmosphere between sectors.

The authority has emphasized that in reality, there should be only 90 RWAs in the 90 sectors of the city. Therefore, they have requested that action be taken to end the extra RWAs in the city.
