158 new Covid-19 cases in Delhi; positivity rate 0.24%



The national capital on Thursday reported 158 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,35,639. The number of new cases reported came out of 67,234 tests conducted on the previous day.

At least 42,395 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 24,839 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 0.24 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate declined to 5.8 per cent.

Seven patients succumbed to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,864. Six deaths were recorded on Wednesday, 2 on Tuesday, 3 on Monday, 4 on Sunday and 8 on Saturday.

A total of 165 patients have recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,23,574 in the Capital. The recovery rate was 98.10 per cent. Delhi has now 1,194 active cases.

Out of the total 6,265 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 5,644 are vacant. A total of 397 patients are in home isolation.
