142 new coronavirus cases in Delhi; positivity rate at 0.22%

 


New Delhi: The Capital on Thursday recorded 142 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,36,529. The number of new cases reported came out of 64,328 tests conducted on the previous day.

At least 41,943 RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 22,385 rapid antigen tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate was 0.22 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate declined to 5.59 per cent.

Two deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,886. Two deaths were recorded on Wednesday, 3 on Monday, 2 on Sunday and 4 on Saturday.

A total of 135 patients have recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,24,592 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 98.12 per cent. Currently, there are 1,051 active cases in the city.

Out of the total 5,777 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 5,293 are vacant. A total of 415 patients are in home isolation.
