140 new coronavirus cases in Delhi; positivity rate plunges to 0.23 pc

 


Delhi on Sunday reported 140 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,35,096. The number of new cases reported came out of 60,695 tests conducted on the previous day.

Of which, 38,746 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 21,949 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 0.23 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate declined to 5.91 per cent.

4 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,853. 8 deaths were recorded on Saturday, 6 on Friday, 6 on Thursday, 9 on Wednesday and 7 on Tuesday.

211 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,22,882 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 98.07 per cent. 

The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Sunday. Active cases declined by 75 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 1,361 active cases.

Out of the total 7,892 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 7,235 are vacant. A total of 548 patients are in home isolation.
