386 new coronavirus cases in Delhi; positivity rate 0.51 pc

Delhi on Tuesday reported 386 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,30,892. The number of new cases reported came out of 75,913 tests conducted on the previous day.

Of which, 38,706 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 37,207 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 0.51 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate declined to 6.62 per cent.

16 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,691. 13 deaths were recorded on Monday, 12 on Sunday, 12 on Saturday, 10 on Friday and 19 on Thursday.

545 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,17,006 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 97.79 per cent.

The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Tuesday. Active cases declined by 175 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 3,179 active cases.

Out of the total 12,018 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 10,664 are vacant. A total of 1,383 patients are in home isolation.
