295 new coronavirus cases in Delhi; positivity rate slips to 0.44 pc

 


Delhi on Friday reported 295 new coronavirus cases, taking the cumulative tally to 6,31,884. The number of new cases reported came out of 66,921 tests conducted on the previous day.

Of which, 38,990 were RTPCR/CBNAAT/TrueNat tests and 27,931 were rapid antigen tests. The positivity rate was 0.44 per cent. The cumulative positivity rate declined to 6.49 per cent.

10 patients died due to coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 10,732. 4 deaths were recorded on Thursday, 11 on Wednesday, 16 on Tuesday, 13 on Monday and 12 on Sunday.

427 patients recovered from the deadly disease, taking the total recovery figure to 6,18,357 in the national capital. The recovery rate was 97.85 per cent.

The recoveries outnumbered the new cases on Friday. Active cases declined by 142 in the last 24 hours. Delhi has now 2,795 active cases.

Out of the total 11,950 beds in coronavirus hospitals, 10,779 are vacant. A total of 1,275 patients are in home isolation.
