The residents of Assotech Windsor Court in Noida’s sector 78, are living in a semi-constructed site with no covered parking facility, high total dissolved solids (TDS) in supplied water and lack of any security measures.
The society has five towers out of which two are under construction while the other three have around 180 families living.
The basement is still under-construction because of which the resident are forced to park their cars wherever they get a parking space and the society has only three guards on duty. Moreover, there are no CCTV cameras installed anywhere in the premises.
The households are supplied with ground water which has TDS as high as 2000 and there are no irrigation pipes.
“We are dependent on RO water even for bathing and washing, since the water we are supplied with has a high TDS which is not fit for human use,” a resident told our reporter.
Another resident added, “We get our RO checked and serviced every two months since its evident that the RO will only work efficiently if proper measures are taken.”
Often lack of parking space creates a rift between the residents, people who have bought covered parking are forced to park in empty spaces.
Th society has no sewage or water treatment plant, there is no Ganga water supply and the households have temporary electricity connection.
“Our electricity was disconnected by the government supplier after the developer failed to pay the bill,” a resident said.
“There are no fire fighting equipment’s installed in the society and the wall are mounted with entangled live wires,” another resident said.
“Several incidents of spark from the meters have been reported but nothing has been done by the management in spite of complaints raised,” a resident of the society said.
In the past, a transformer was also damaged because of the overload and was only repaired after constant pressure from the residents.
The back-up facility is non-functional in the society and the green belt promised has turned into a dump yard.
The monsoon season is worst for the residents, water is logged everywhere and even enters the houses of ground floor residents.
“The semi-constructed basement is flooded and becomes a breeding ground for most of health issues. The entire society stinks like a fish and the common area too is waterlogged,” a resident said.
