Gaur Cascade, a high-rise in Ghaziabad's Raj Nagar Extension, held its annual apartment owners' association (AOA) election on Sunday where the residents elected ten members to the new board of management which is yet to be formed. ghaziabad news

The results of the election were announced on Wednesday in which 23 contested fought to get into the board of management of the year 2019-20. Election committee supervising the AOA election of the society informed City Spidey that total 24 nominations were filed for 10 of the AOA.
"However, one contestant withdrew the nomination so the contest was held between 23 contenders," informed Nitin Chawla, member of the election committee.
The committee also informed that 533 voters voted in the election which as per statistics, more than 50 per cent voter turnout.
In the election, 50-year-old resident, Sanjeev Malik garnered maximum votes with a whopping vote share of 494.80.
Malik along with five other members of his team fought this election and all six of them are elected to board of management. The team has got a full majority of the residents.
Malik is a businessman by profession. Speaking upon the agenda of the elected board, Malik said that the goal is to provide exemplary living experience to the resident of the society. "Currently, our society is on the top in providing living standard in whole Raj Nagar Extension. We want to make it the best in the city," he said.
Divulging plans of the agenda set by him, Malik said that the focus would be on technological advancement in society.
"We will see the possibility of installing solar electricity plant to electrical units overheads. There are pending works of biometric and CCTV surveillance which would be completed. Besides, we will automate the parking system by installing an RFID system so that brawls over parking are avoided," he said.
"We will also expand the green space in our society. We will consult with the horticulture experts to find a scope for it," Malik added.
