Indirapuram: Shipra Sun City's staff rescues 65-yr-old resident from washroom

The security and maintenance staff of Shipra Sun City Phase II on Tuesday morning rescued 65-year-old Kultar Sharma, after being trapped in the washroom of his flat for more than two hours.

"Around 9:15 am, we received a call from a resident that his neighbour, who is an elderly man, is trapped inside his flat and need rescue. Our security staff immediately ran to rescue him," told an Apartment Owners' Association (AOA) member.

In the morning, Sharma's maid came to his flat as usual and knocked on the door. When Sharma did not answer after knocking for quite a long time, the maid got suspicious and informed about the situation to his neighbours. The neighbours also attempted the same. However, they heard faint moans coming from inside the flat and immediately made a call to the AOA's office for help.

"Our staff broke the lock of the main door of the flat but he cannot be seen anywhere. We then heard a moan coming from the washroom and opened it to see Sharma lying on the floor in pain," the AOA official told. Apartment management system

"Sharma suffers from numbness in his hands this is why he couldn't take support to stand up. He was visibly shaken and was not in a condition to speak," the official added.

After rescuing, neighbours gave him tea and water to calm down. His family has been informed. Till they reach his place, neighbours will look after him. visitor management system
