Agitated residents of Sanskriti Apts stage protest over power fluctuation issue

Nearly 100 residents of Sanskriti Apartments, a high-rise in Greater Noida West, on Saturday staged protest against the developer. Reason? They have to bear with frequent power fluctuations that too at a time when the mercury is soaring high above 40 degree Celsius!

The residents said they are irked by the callous approach of the management of the society. "Despite raising this issue several times, the situation is getting worse than what we have imagined," they added.

Talking to City Spidey on this issue, one of the residents Neeraj Mishra said, “Situation is so bad that forget about AC, even a single fan or cooler cannot be switched on. It is becoming a life-threatening situation for children, toddlers, and senior citizen.”

Residents pointed out that it has been a week since the problem occurred following which they informed the management, requesting to pay heed on their grievances. Getting no response from them in this regard, residents reached out to the office of Earthcon Universal- the developer of the Sanskriti housing society, located at Sector 1 in Noida.

“When we reached their office, there was no one to whom we could communicate and inform about our problem, whereas we had already informed through email that we want to meet people from the management,” said Deepak Sharma, another resident.

However, after the residents started protesting against the management, director of Earthcon Universal, Shoaib Sheikh reached the office and assured that the problem would be solved soon.

“Sheikh assured us that the issue would be resolved by June 5. However, he added saying that it will take time to find a permanent solution to power fluctuations,” said Himanshu Ratnakar, another resident.

Though the residents, after getting convinced, decided to give some time to the management, they have warned of a major protest if the problem persists.
