Noida-Greater Noida expressway to be redeveloped using bituminous technology

The 23-km long expressway, connecting the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida, is all set to get a major facelift. Sources said that the entire stretch will be redeveloped using bituminous technology which is widely used on highways.

The work on this stretch is expected to start after the Lok Sabha election results. There are also plans to construct four underpasses to provide better connectivity to the nearby societies. The project is likely to be completed by 2020.



The new expressway is going to improve the connectivity between the twin cities. As well as, it will also improve connectivity to Aqua Line metro stations.

Aqua Line is currently facing the issue of ridership because of bad connectivity. The new expressway will solve this problem and Aqua Line is certain to get a major boost. All the stations of Aqua Line will get better connectivity after completion of the new expressway.

As many as four underpasses will also be constructed on the expressway which will provide seamless connectivity to people residing in the surrounding areas of expressway.

“Currently, the work is in tender process. The project is likely to be completed by 2020,” sources said.
