As the elections come close, hundreds of community people carried out an awareness campaign for voting on May 12 in Delhi.
People from RWAs, NGOs, social organisations, group etc carried out a procession from Dwarka International School in Sector 12 on Sunday.
They did different activities to appeal to the people of Dwarka to go for maximum voting percentage. Flash mob, street play, dance, songs and different such activities were there to attract the people to know about the importance of election and power of vote in a democracy.
The event was organised by the DC office of South West Zone.
Dr Ranbir Singh, Chief Election Officer of Delhi, made the people aware about the apps which could be used to know about voting . He said that the commission is strict in taking action against any irregularities and wrong practices related to election.
He appealed people to vote in large numbers. He asked the people to make a video recording of any suspicious activity and post it to the Election Commission website. He assured to take action against anyone within 90 minutes. He also said that people must go for fearless voting.
