Now, people commuting from LG Chowk in Greater Noida towards sectors 146/147 will not have to pass through Pari Chowk taking a 12-km long route. A new four lane 2.4-km long road will be constructed to connect the LG Chowk to Noida-Greater Noida expressway.
This road will pass through the under construction Hindon bridge. There are also plans to construct two slip roads for smooth movement of vehicles.
The new road will be constructed by both Noida and Greater Noida Authorities. The proposal has already been approved. Now, the estimate will be prepared and the target to complete the construction of road has been set at 2 years.
The distance between the twin cities will come down after opening of the new road. People, living in the vicinity of the road, will also be greatly benefitted. The heavy traffic situation towards Pari Chowk is also expected to ease significantly.
The connectivity to the Aqua Line metro stations at sectors 146 and 147 will also improve. The new road will be 60 meters wide. The 209 meters long Hindon bridge is being constructed at the cost of around Rs 62 crore. It is expected to be completed in next 20 months.
“After passing through the Hindon bridge, the road will connect to expressway in front of sectors 146 and 147 through the service lane. There are also plans to construct an underpass at this point. Two slip roads will provide connectivity to sectors 146 and 147,” said an official aware with the development.
