Air quality monitoring station becomes operational in GreNo; residents relieved

People across Greater Noida, who have been battling with severe levels of pollution, can now heave a sigh of relief as real-time Air Quality Index monitoring station at Balak Inter College has become operational. This will cover parts of Noida Extension as well.

It has been a long-pending demand by the residents of the area looking at the growing population in the city and pollution from the neighbouring places like Delhi and other parts of NCR.

Talking to City Spidey, resident of Greater Noida West's Greenshire, Sunil Jalota said, "It is a good development by the Gautam Buddh Nagar pollution department as it fulfills the need of the general public. It will help residents to know the real-time air quality index of the particular area and accordingly, they would take care of themselves, especially during winters."

He asserted saying the system should be introduced in all the areas which are densely populated.
