Elections are fought and won on the basis of promises made by the public representatives and deliverables provided by them to the public. Keeping this in view, the residents of upcoming and existing high-rises across Noida and Greater Noida have listed out some key issues that have been bothering them for a long time. They want their candidates, if voted to power, to live upto their expectations and solve these problems at the earliest.
The most common issue is the lack of basic amenities nearby the residential areas. Locals want the candidates to pay attention to it and resolve it without any delay.
Annu Khan, president of the Noida Extension Flat Owner Mains Association (NEFOMA), complained that many people have moved to their flats here in various apartments recently but roads are not up to mark. They are in a dilapidated state and this has been causing a huge problem for them. noida news
He stated, "We want the elected candidate to take a note of this issue and build a foot-over bridge near the roundabout of Gaur City." greater noida news
"Service lanes besides Palm Olympia, Vedantam, Supertech Ecovillage, Green Arch, Panchsheel and other residential apartments were not developed in the past five years. We want our new MP, whosoever is elected, to pay attention to this problem," he added.
He pointed out that the existing U-turn on main road besides Palm Olympia should be shifted nearby Gaur City-2 to increase the utilities. "Currently, it is under-utilised but once shifted, the usage will increase," Khan further said.
Another key issue is lack of street lighting as most of the roads in Noida Extension remain dark throughout the night despite the fact that many residents return to their home late night from their offices.
Khan, who has been raising several issues related to home buyers since past several years, said that this matter should be given priority.
"Policing and patrolling of such areas should be tightened as many women return from their workplace late in the night. Whosoever wins the election from here must work towards safety and security of public," Gaurav Singh, a resident of Noida, concluded.
