Two years after receiving the occupation certificate, the developer of Palm Grove Heights, a condominium in Gurugram’s Sector 52, has still not handed over maintenance responsibilities to the RWA, allege the residents.
The residents complained that though the builder had received occupation certificates way back in 2017, he is still not ready to hand them over the upkeep of the society.
The angry residents have now taken the matter to the office of senior town planner (STP), stated a report published in TOI. gurugram news
Taking action on the complaint, STP of Gurgaon has now directed the builder –Ardee Infrastructure Pvt Ltd – to hand over the maintenance on Sunday.
The letter stated, “It is found that you have not handed over the condominium of administrative charges to the RWA after the grant of occupation certificate whereas as per the provisions of the Haryana Apartment Ownership Act, 1983, it is required to hand over the condominium of the colony to RWA within 90 days after the grant of occupation certificate. Therefore, you are directed to hand over the condominium of administrative charges to the RWA under the intimation of this office immediately.”
Naresh Kushlani, RWA president of the society, said that for the past two years they have been paying maintenance at the rate of Rs 3.07 per sq ft. “Even after paying such exorbitant charges, we were not getting proper services. It is high time they hand over us the responsibilities,” added Kushlani.
“I hope we will finally get a solution to this problem. Already, many residents have stopped paying maintenance charges to the builder and RWA has employed its own security guards,” said a resident of the society.
