To mark the Bengali New Year, the Prantic Cultural Society on Monday organised an event called 'Joy of Giving' in Indirapuram.
Prantic Cultural Society, based at Indirapuram and NCR, has been in the lead for organising social and cultural functions and programmes the region.
The members of the society, through various entertaining programmes, made an effort to spend time with the school kids of Makanpur village, bringing smiles on their faces.

On this occasion, schools bags and stationery items were distributed to over 45 economically weaker students.
Sahibabad's member of legislative assembly (MLA), Sunil Sharma, was invited as the chief guest for this event. He praised the efforts being taken by the Prantic Cultural Society, organising the event for the past 5 years.
"I was fortunate to be part of this noble cause. We need such events and organisations to support such kids in their education," Sharma added.
Besides, Vaibhav Khand's counsellor, Abhinav Jain, graced the event with his presence.
Rumpa Joardar and Srilekha Nandi, who managed the event, thanked Prantic Cultural Society's president Abhijit Roy and secretary Jayesh Sinha and expressed their gratitude to the other members for their support.
"These kids were hand-picked by the volunteers of the event. Our members went to the school and asked the principal to provide such kids who need our support," Roy concluded.
