The residents of Krishna Apra Garden, a high-rise in Indirapuram, have formed its AOA after an election held last month. The election was held under the supervision of SDM and the results were declared this week.
City Spidey reached out to the newly-elected board members to know their plans ahead.
Shabab Ahmad, president of the new board of members, said that the vision is to complete the paint work of the society buildings. "The painting work has been going on for over two years. We will try to finish it at the earliest," Ahmad said.
Security of the premises is another aspect which the new AOA would like to overhaul. “We would extend the coverage of CCTV cameras installed on the premises. The aim is to bring all the floors of the building under electronic surveillance,” he added.
Ahmad added that there are also plans to upgrade firefighting system. “The firefighting system installed in the society is in shambles. The fire extinguishers are old and the whole system is ridden with lapses. We would like to rectify that," he said.
The AOA is also planning to review the contracts of security and maintenance agencies working with the society. “We have spotted slip ups in both security and maintenance areas. We are thinking of reviewing the contracts of agencies looking after these two departments,” Ahmad said.
When asked if the AOA is going to terminate the present contracts, Ahmad said that any such decision would be taken after consulting the residents. “We will soon organize a general body meeting," he added.
