Members of Delhi Public School (DPS) Indirapuram Parents' Welfare Association have decided to stage a protest on Monday against the notification issued regarding the fee hike by the school administration.
Priyanka Rana, president of the association, alleged the school has hiked the fees by 9 per cent, disregarding the order of District Fee Regulatory Committee, which came in the month of February this year.
"DFRC ordered the school to refund the fees charged extra in 2018-19 session. Also, the committee ordered the school to keep the fees of upcoming session of 2019-20 same as session of 2017-18," Rana claimed.
"This is blatant defiance of the government order," she added.
Rana also told City Spidey the school had appealed for a stay order against the DFRC order in Allahabad High Court and next hearing is due in April.
"Case is already pending in the court and they have hiked the fees," she stated.
City Spidey tried to contact the school administration to know their views on this matter but no one was available to answer.
