Traffic inspectors deployed at key intersections in Noida to ease congestion

To ease traffic congestion in Noida, the traffic department has decided to deploy six traffic inspectors at key intersections witnessing massive snarls.

According to an official in the traffic department, the decision was taken after analyzing the complaints' pattern from major intersections. The six intersections selected include Sector 71 crossing, City Centre Metro Station junction, Sector 18 metro station crossing, Model Town Sector 62, Surajpur T-point and Pari Chowk.

“Traffic inspectors will work to ease traffic at these stretches so that commuters aren’t hassled. Our aim is to ensure smooth traffic movement during peak hours. If people are found flouting traffic rules, challans will be immediately issued and tough action will be taken against them,” added the official.

Meanwhile, the traffic department issued 250 challans over the past two days at various intersections in the city. On Saturday, at Sectors 40 and 41, and Mahamaya Flyover, the traffic department issued 85 challans to drivers found violating the rules. On Sunday, 165 challans were issued at Sectors 125 and 18.
