NMRC launches mobile App for booking tickets on Aqua Line

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is leaving no stone unturned to make travel a world class experience at the newly opened Aqua Line. Now, NMRC has launched a mobile application, NMRC tickets, where commuters can book the ticket online.

The commuters will not need to wait in a long queue to get the tickets for travel. They will just be required to book tickets on the mobile application. After booking the ticket, the commuter will get a bar code on the mobile.

They just need to display that bar code on the AFC gate at the entrance of the Metro stations. The gate will open after the display of the code. This new initiative will also decrease the load on the ticket counters.

However, there will be a time window to use the ticket booked on the mobile application. If the commuter fails to use the ticket in the time frame of 1.30 hours, then the ticket will be automatically cancelled.

The Managing Director of NMRC, Alok Tandon launched the mobile application on Wednesday at Fortune Hotel located at Sector 27 in Noida.

While launching the mobile application, officials thanked the DMRC officials for their support in making Aqua Line. They said that the Aqua Line has adopted the world class facilities making the travel conducive for the commuters.

The officials have also shared their future plans to make travel easier for commuters. They announced that there will be free bus service between Aqua Line and Blue Line extension. The Blue Line extension station is merely at a distance of 200-250 meters from the Sector 51 station on Aqua Line.
