A massive fire broke out on Thursday noon on the third and the fourth floor of the Metro Hospital, situated in Sector 12, Noida.
As per reports, around two dozen patients are still inside the hospital. The rescue process is underway. Meanwhile, rescuers are breaking the glass windows to take out the trapped patients. They are also trying to evacuate the patients who were undergoing surgeries in the operation theatre.
A large crowd has gathered outside the hospital. As per an eyewitness, the fire was first spotted at 12:30 pm. No casualties have been reported as yet.
Fire tenders have reached the spot to douse the flames. The cause of the fire is yet unknown.
Metro Hospital is among the top 12 hospitals in Delhi, NCR and Haryana. It has about 2500 beds in total.
