RWAs laud NGO Parmarthi for its cleanliness initiatives across Dwarka


In order to praise and encourage them for their efforts and contributions, representatives of various sectors and societies across Dwarka on Sunday attended an event, marking the first anniversary celebrations of Parmarthi - Ek Prayatan, an NGO, working with an aim to keep the sub-city neat and clean. The event was organised at Deen Dayal Upadhyay college's auditorium, located in Sector 3.

People from several RWAs, on this occasion, also shared how they came to know about this non-profit organisation and what all changes they got to see after it carried out several works to keep the surroundings clean and beautiful.

Ramesh Mumukshu, general secretary of RWA Studio Apartments (Sector 16B) said, "RWAs with the team of Parmarthi have been working together to make the area look absolutely nice! The best part of the effort is the organisation not only focuses on keeping the area clean and beautiful but maintain it well.”

Talking about the NGO, treasurer of DPS Apartments (Sector 4) CB Swami said, “We are happy with the fact that there is a social organisation which carries out such initiatives which we actually expect from civic bodies concerned. It has shown us that in a year, roads and footpaths can be kept clean and maintained too."

Anurag Nahal of Suruchi Apartments (Sector 7) expressed his views, saying, “Our entire sector witnessed a drastic change after Parmarthi took charge following our request.  The best we could do from our side is to provide support to their initiatives.”

Expressing happiness on this occasion, founder Ravi Tandon said, “This is just to bring the community together and make Dwarka beautiful. What we could do we will do it for sure.”

Other than RWA members and representatives, ex-MLA (Matiala) Rajesh Gehlot, general secretary of Federation of CGHS (Cooperative Group Housing Societies), Dwarka, Sudha Sinha, president of Indian Medical Association, Deepmala and other dignitaries from Dwarka were also present on this occasion. They too shared their views on the aspect of cleanliness and Parmarthi's key role towards it till date. Besides, they urged all to support the efforts and initiatives to be taken by this NGO in future.

Parmarthi – Ek Prayatan, is a public hygiene and cleanliness NGO in Dwarka, started in the year 2018. It focuses on cleaning and maintaining public places like parks, roads and sidewalks. Its crew began cleaning and maintenance work from Sector 11 of the area.
