Noida police on Saturday arrested two IT professionals for abusing neighbours and vandalising a PCR van. When police reached their residence, both of them were found in a drunken state.
The police took action against them after receiving complaints from the RWA members of the society.
Both of them also physically assaulted the police officer who went to arrest them. When these professionals were taken to the Phase 3 police station, they started abusing the police officers. Both of them are presently under police custody.
As per the police, the professionals were identified as Rishabh Tripathi (31) and Amit Dixit (26). Rishabh is a son of a retired IAS officer and hail from Allahabad. Amit belongs to Lucknow.
“Both of them came back from office at 3 am and started drinking at 4 am. One of their colleagues also accompanied them. But, after few drinks, he went back to his house,” said police.
Residents informed that both of them started shouting and abusing neighbours in the morning. When the neighbours asked them to stop making noises, both the professionals started abusing.
“On Saturday around 9 am, they come outside after finishing their drink session. They started abusing residents and people who were passing their house. Some heated talks were exchanged between the residents and the accused. When they did not stop, the RWA intervened in the matter,” residents said.
“Around 10 am, the residents dialled 100 and informed the police. But, when the police reached the spot, Amit and Rishabh did not cooperate with the police. They also abused the police officer,” ShivKumar Tiwari, RWA President said.
“They lived in a rented flat in the sector. Police verification was not done by the owner. The RWA will release a circular to all house owners to verify the people before giving them flats,” Tiwari added.
Akhilesh Tripathi, SHO of Phase-3 said that we registered a case under IPC section of 151 (Knowingly joining or continuing in assembly of five or more persons after it has been commanded to disperse).
