The accused have been identified as Amit and Aman, both residents of Gurgaon, Haryana, said the police. They used to con people by selling flats, plots and building with fake documents.

Gautam Budh Nagar court had issued a non-bailable warrant against them.

“The accused had set up a firm and used it as a base to con people. Aman acted as CEO of the company and was also the mastermind of the gang. There are more than 37 cases lodged against them in Noida, Gurgaon, Delhi, Mumbai and Gujarat,” said the police.

Manoj Panth, SHO of Sector 20 police station, said that Noida-based businessman Sudhir Gupta had lodged a complaint against both the accused. The accused had taken Rs 2 crore from Gupta for selling a plot in Sector 6 but the registry of the plot was not done.

“A similar case was registered in 2004 when Devender Singh, a resident of Gulmohar Apartment in Sector 44, had complained at Sector 39 police station against them and three more persons. These people had taken Rs 1.5 crore from Singh in the name of selling a land in Goa,” Panth said.
Further investigations are going on in the case.
