Noida: Hyundai i10 snatched at gunpoint near Adobe building, Sector 132


A Hyundai i10 was taken away at gunpoint by two unidentified men near the Adobe building in Sector 132, Noida, late in the night on September 13. The victim has been identified as Akhilesh Pastor, a resident of Jaypee Kosmos, a high rise in Sector 134. He works in a private company.

The police said a case has been registered against two unidentified persons under Sections of the IPC 392 (punishment for robbery) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation). Noida News

“We have CCTV footage from various sources and the matter is being investigated,” said an officer of Sector 128 police station.

Pastor, who owned the car, was on his way to Jaypee hospital from his flat at around 9 pm when suddenly, near the Adobe building in Sector 132, a red coloured Santro overtakes his car. The occupants inquire about the way to Sector 46 and then one of them comes out with a pistol and points it to the head of Pastor. Then they flee with the car.

“They also took Rs 10,000, driving license, voter ID card, 3 credit cards, debit card and car papers,” Pastor added.

He then dialled 100 and also friends and relatives. Police reached the spot immediately.

Residents of the area are shocked and feel police patrolling should become more stringent in the area.
