Noida: Divine Meadows’ disputed club house gate opens after police intervention

The club house gate at Divine Meadows, which was a bone of contention for a long time, was partially opened for entry and exit in the society after the police intervention on Tuesday. The gate at the high rise society in Sector-108 was closed from last two months.

As per the residents, they had requested the builder to open the gate multiple times but it was kept closed for a long time. They said that the opening of the gate was important from the perspective that most of the school buses ply on the nearby road.
The adjoining road to the club house gate is the pick and drop point for most of the school buses.

“The school buses take this route because it is near to the expressway. The builder said he closed the gate due to some construction work. In the beginning, the builder said that he is closing the gate for one week but it was not opened after the promised time period,” said residents.

“When residents followed up the matter with the builder, he again asked for one week’s time. But, then, he continued to keep the door locked by saying that the property belongs to him,” residents added.

The club gate was also a major gate for the entry or exit into the society premises.

“From today, he has opened the gate only for students. We want the gate open for 24 hours because the property belongs us and we pay for this to the builder,” a resident said.

Surender Kushwaha, president of buyer association told City Spidey, “When union minister Dr Mahesh Sharma visited the society on August 4, we raised this concern in front of him. He asked the builder to open the gate for the residents. The builder told the minister that he locked the gate due to some construction. He assured that the gate will be opened within 15 days.”

“Two days back, the residents removed the lock and put their lock on the gate. But, builder again put his lock at the gate. They sent ten bouncers to stop the entry or exit of the residents. After that, the residents called the police. The police took all the bouncers to the police station in Sector-39,” Kushwaha said.

“Now, we are getting threatening calls from the builder. They have also threatened that the registry of the flats will not take place. The registries are stuck because the builder has not paid the land dues to the Noida Authority which is around Rs 43 crore,” Kushwaha added.

Rishi Bharadwaj, Manager of Divine Meadows, said that the matter is resolved now and the gate was opened for the residents. He added that they only deployed the security persons instead of the bouncers.
