The residents of Vaibhav Khand along with municipal councillor of Ward-99, Abhinav Jain, met Ghaziabad Development Authority’s (GDA) vice chairman Ritu Maheshwari on Thursday to discuss a range of issues.

“Our children have no place to play. We must provide them a playground so that they come out of the virtual world of internet and computer and play games,” Jain said.
“This will increase their fitness and also help them in getting rid of the depression,” he said. He also said that the lack of playground is causing depression in the kids.
Jain informed that after hearing the concerns, the VC ordered the officials of Encroachment and Horticulture to look into the matter.
The residents from Windsor and Nova Apartment demanded the closure of the liquor shop operating in the Windsor market of the Shipra Sun City.
“It was supposed to be a convenient shop area. Instead, it has been turned into a hardcore commercial business area,” said Jain.
“Also, it is against the law to run meat and liquor store at the place designated for convenient shops,” Jain added.
Jain also said that frequent reports of fights on road surface because of the liquor shop. “It has caused disturbances in the area,” he said.
“VC has ordered an inquiry in the matter,” informed Jain.
