The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has expedited the process to prepare a blueprint of the city’s development plan ahead of the upcoming board meeting. The GDA is planning to announce an elevated road and two multilevel parking for the residents during the board meeting on June 15.
If the sources are to be believed, a budget of Rs 2,300 crore is likely to be announced for the development of the city during the board meeting. The GDA is also expected to approve around two dozen plans.
Apart from approval of elevated road and multilevel parking, 24 different proposals including property rates, detailed project reports and online auction will be presented in front of the board.
During the board meeting led by the Divisional Commissioner of Meerut Division, Dr Prabhat Kumar, a total of 24 proposals are expected to get approval.
The most prominent proposals would be 3.2 km long elevated road from Ghantaghar to Bhatia Mod and two multilevel parking at Indirapuram and Rajnagar District Centre (RDC).
The other proposals include freezing of property rates till March 2019, detailed project reports, online auction, city forest development and giving power to GDA Vice-chairman to clear outstanding amount in instalments.
Ritu Maheshwari, District Magistrate and GDA Vice-chairman, has already started discussions with officials over the proposals after the finalisation of board meeting date. GDA Secretary, Santosh Kumar Rai, has been asked to prepare department-wise proposals.
