Now, traffic police to file FIR against owners for giving vehicles to minors


Now, the parents of minors running vehicles on roads will also be penalised for breaking the law in Gautam Budh Nagar. If a minor will be caught running vehicles on roads, then an FIR will be registered against the owner of the vehicle apart from doing challan of the vehicle. noida news

The growing negligence towards traffic rules is causing a lot of fatal accidents on the roads. To bring the people back on the track, traffic police is filing FIRs against wrong-side driving. The officers have instructed traffic personnel to have zero-tolerance towards wrong-side driving and file FIRs.

SP traffic, Anil Kumar Jha said, “There is no traffic sense among the people in the city. People take pride in breaking the traffic rules. People, who break traffic rules, are not only risking their lives but also posing threat to other’s lives as well.”

“The traffic police have now decided to address the issue strictly. Under this, officials have been instructed to file FIRs against wrong-side driving. The officials have also been given targets so that they don’t take the matter lightly,” added Jha.

Legal action cannot be taken against the minors but giving vehicle to minors is a crime. An FIR will now be filed against the people who will be giving their vehicles to the minors. They will also be fined for it.
