BREAKING NEWS: Chargesheet filed in Gurgaon school murder case


The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has today filed a chargesheet in the recent murder case that took place in a private school in Gurgaon. A 16-year-old student was arrested on November 8, 2017, for slitting the throat of a Class II student in the washroom of the school.

The CBI was to file the chargesheet within 90 days of it undertaking the case, and the deadline was today. The chargesheet has run over 5,000 pages.

Earlier, on September 8, Gurgaon Police had arrested a 42-year-old bus conductor, Ashok Kumar, for the murder. Later, however, the case was handed over to the CBI on September 15, which apprehended the juvenile accused in the case. Gurgaon News

The accused was initially tried in the Juvenile Justice Board, but his case was transferred to the session’s court after it was announced that he was to be tried as an adult, on December 20, 2017. His first bail was rejected on January 7, 2018.
