The additional sessions judge of the special children’s court — where the accused in the controversial Ryan International murder case will be tried as an adult — dismissed the bail plea of the juvenile today.
The juvenile was apprehended by the CBI on November 8 for the brutal murder of eight-year-old Pradyuman Thakur on the school premises.
The case was moved to the Gurgaon sessions court on December 20 after the Juvenile Justice board decreed that the accused be tried as an adult, as his mental make-up reflected adult intent, and the crime committed was heinous in nature.
Speaking to City Spidey, Sushil Tekriwal, the victim’s lawyer, said, “The juvenile was fined an amount of Rs 21,000 for filing a frivolous bail petition.”
