For the fifty thousand buyers of stalled housing projects in Noida, the authorities have some good news. Five two-member committees have been formed by the Noida Authority to monitor the construction work.
These committees shall constantly keep a vigil to ensure that developers now adhere to the construction deadlines that they have committed to the authorities.
“Each two-member committee shall be assigned a specific set of projects. They shall require to regularly submit project monitoring reports to our CEO. In case of construction delays on site we shall take strict action against the builders,” officials of Noida Authority informed.
Though builders’ have unanimously stated that project delays have happened because of fund crunches, homebuyers allege that the missing funds have been diverted into other projects.
“About 20 builders in Noida have promised to deliver around 28,000 flats within the next four months. Subject to the completion of all formalities relating to occupancy certificate, four builders are expected to deliver around 2,500 flats before Diwali. PAN Oasis should deliver 1,000 flats, Express Zenith should deliver 500 while Sunshine and RG Residency should deliver 500 each,” an official spokesperson informed City Spidey.
The CEO of Noida Authority shall hold a progress review meeting with builders tomorrow. There are about 94 housing projects where construction had been halted.
