How unsafe is Dwarka? Cops and residents talk today

Nearly 50 people from various sectors and societies across Dwarka, met with top police officials today. The meeting was organised at Jhelum Apartments, Sector 5, by the Federation of CGHS in association with the management of the society (Jhelum Apartments).

People apprised the cops about the safety and security issues that are plaguing the subcity. The ACP of Dwarka, Rajender Singh along with his team of SHOs and the Traffic Inspector took note of a plethora of concerns ranging from traffic snarls, dark stretches and open drinking in the parks.

Rakesh Kumar, RWA President of Vinayak Apartments in Sector 6, vociferously elaborated on the issues of dark stretches and the inconvenience caused by vehicles parked on the roads near schools.
People have demanded the cops to increase patrolling in the subcity in the course of today's meeting. They have also suggested a campaign for community participation in matters of public safety and security. society management software
The meeting concluded after Kumar directed his officials to take charge of specific initiatives. He also urged the people to assist the policing. Kumar said that people should visit police stations to understand how policing operates as a function.  
A larger meeting of police officials and common people shall be organised on September 9 at the Priyanka Banquet Hall in Sector 10. The DCP is expected to be present in that meeting.
