Commemorating the spirit of Teacher's Day on September 5, a
felicitation ceremony had been organised by the LS Foundation of Gurgaon
at the Malibu Towne Club of Sohna Road on Saturday.
Founded by Sangeeta Yadav, a resident of Malibu Towne, the foundation
strives to extend scholarships to girls from rural areas. The chief
guest for the event was Pawan Jindal, a renowned industrialist, and
Yashpal Yadav, administrator of Huda. Teachers from numerous schools
were acknowledged for their hard work and dedication.
The event started with a Ganesh vandana and a beautiful kathak performance.
This was followed by a talk delivered by Dr Parmeshwar Arora, MD
Ayurveda and a senior doctor in Ganga Ram Hospital, regarding the
numerous myths associated with our a person's drinking habits. Arora has
been researching on the impacts of water on the human anatomy for the
past 28 years.
Addressing the gathering, Pawan Jindal said, “Teachers are people who
understand the needs of students in the most appropriate way, and
teachers therefore know best how to define quality education.” Gurgaon News
Adding to this, Yashpal Yadav said, “A teacher is like a candle who burns himself/herself to enlighten the lives of students.”
Sangeeta Yadav, too, addressed the gathering. In her words, "As the
founder of LS Foundation, my aim is to provide education to as many
people as possible. After working in this field for over a decade, I
have experienced that there is always a need for quality
education. Therefore, this foundation is an endeavour to organise the
efforts of like-minded people - people who want to work for the
betterment of society."
The event concluded with individual felicitations.
